Eligibility
The competition is open to all the students belonging to the age group of 13 - 21. (If you fall below this age range, please, contact us and we will make arrangements if possible.)
Only unpublished work is eligible for this competition. Plagiarism is strictly forbidden. If anyone is found copying content from any source, he/she will be disqualified from that round.
Format and Procedure
The entire event comprises 2 rounds : i) Qualifiers Round ii)Final Round
Language allowed: English
Word Limit: 500 - 1000 words (Please give more preference to quality than quantity)
It is preferable to divide the writing into paragraphs.
Your content must have a suitable heading.
(centrally aligned; block letters; maximum 5 words)
Please mail us your content as a .docx file (Microsoft Word Preferred). In the subject of the mail please mention your name and the topic. (Format: <Topic> - <Name>)
The typeface should be Times of New Roman: 12 (You have the liberty to use a different typeface for the heading)
The entries must be submitted within 24 hours (after the topics have been released ) for the first round and within 36 hours for the second round.
Judging
Your content will be judged on the following criteria:
(Your content will be judged only if it is relevant to the topics that have been provided to you)
Idea and Concept (40 Marks)
Innovation and Uniqueness (40 Marks)
Grammar and Clarity (20 Marks)
The decision of the judge is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding his/her decision.
Notification
Once you have registered for the event, we will send you a confirmation mail for the same.
The topics for each round will not be mailed to you but the time of the release of the topics will be posted in the various social media handles.
After we receive the content, we will be sending you another confirmation mail for each of the two rounds.
Post Judgement, you will receive a mail regarding your qualification status.
Qualifiers for the first round and winners for the entire event (along with their submissions) will be posted on our social media handles and website.

Perks
Free Registration
Certificate of Participation will be mailed to all the participants.
Cash Prize worth Rs 800 for the champion and Rs 300 for the Runner Up (transferred digitally) along with the certificates.
3 more participants will qualify for the Letter of Recommendation from the Judge.
The writings of all the participants qualifying for the Final Round will be featured on the blog tab of the Alpha Geeks website.(www.alphageeks.in)
The writings of the Champion and Runner Up will be featured both on our social media handles and the website.
