Eligibility
The competition is open to all the students belonging to the age group of 15 - 20. (If you fall below this age range, please, contact us. We will make arrangements, if possible.)
The participant should have at least 6 months of experience in any of the following programming languages:-
Python 3
C++ / C
Java
Format and Procedure
The entire event consists of 2 rounds:
Preliminary Round
Final Round
At the scheduled time, we will upload the questions on our website for the respective rounds (please refer to the Schedule Tab). The timing will also be notified to you through our social media handles.
Once the questions are uploaded, the hourglass is set for 2.5 hours (Preliminary Round) and 3 hours (Final Round). You need to send the submission within the time limit. (Note: No submission will be accepted after the time limit)
Mail us the raw file comprising each of the programs as attachments.(Mention the question number as a comment in the beginning of every program)
Your focus must be to solve maximum number of questions correctly.
Your submission must contain at least 3 programs for it to be considered for marking.
Post submission, please, stay updated through our social media handles and website.
Marking Scheme
In the preliminary round, each of the 16 questions will carry 10 marks.
(You will be marked on the basis of the number of correct test run cases)
*Note: If there is any syntax error or the program does not produce an output, the code will not qualify for marking)
Top 15 participants will qualify for the finals
In the final round, the marks of each question(Total: 18 questions) will be mentioned beside the question. The marking criteria that will be followed is same as that of the preliminary round.
In case of a tie, you will be judged on the basis of starred questions.(Mixed with the lot of unstarred questions.)
Notification
Once you have registered for the event, we will send you a confirmation mail for the same.
The questions for each round will be posted on our website at the scheduled time.
After we receive your submission, we will send you another confirmation mail confirming the same. (For each round)
Post Judgement, you will receive a mail regarding your qualification status. Moreover, the qualifiers will also be posted on our website and social media handles.
Qualifiers for the first round and winners for the entire event will be posted on our social media handles and website.
*If you do not receive any of the mails, please, contact us through our social media handles or call us on our respective numbers mentioned in the website. The confirmation mail stating your registration may take upto 2 days to reach you.
Perks
Free Registration
Certificate of Participation will be mailed to all the participants.
Three participants from the preliminary round will receive a certificate for “Upcoming Programmers”.
All the qualifiers will receive a letter of recommendation from our judges.
Cash Prize worth Rs 2000 for the champion and Rs 1000 for the Runner Up (transferred digitally) along with certificates.
